AllBetterCare Urgent Care Center was conceived by a group of practicing specialty trained Emergency Physicians to provide access to urgent medical treatment outside the crowding and inconvenience of a hospital based emergency room. AllBetterCare Urgent Care provides patient focused walk in access for treatment of unexpected, non-life threatening illness and injury.

Board Certified Physicians


Gregory J. Smolin, DO, FACEP, FACOEP

Dr. Smolin has been practicing full time emergency medicine since finishing his emergency medicine residency in 1988. During 14 of those years he has served as Chairman and Medical Director of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Memorial Hospital in York, PA. He is specialty trained and board certified in Emergency Medicine.

He is a graduate of Lafayette College and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He also attended the University of Massachusetts/ Amherst.

He has been full time academic faculty in the emergency medicine residency program at Memorial and has guided 20 groups of physicians-in-training through their 4 years of post medical school emergency medicine specialty training. His recent article entitled “The Business of Emergency Medicine: A Nonclinical Curriculum Proposal for Emergency Medicine Residency Programs” was published in Academic Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Smolin was recognized by Harrisburg Magazine in October 2007 as one of the “Central PA Doctors You’ll Want to Meet” including a feature on the cover. Under his direction, the emergency department at Memorial Hospital received the Central Penn Business Journal “Management Innovation Award” for implementation of its Physician In Triage system. Since then, he has been recognized by the PA Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians as the 2009 “Emergency Physician of the Year”.

Dr. Smolin is very active in his community with volunteer service on multiple non-profit boards of directors including the York Jewish Community Center and the Susan Byrnes Health Education Center.

The innovation that Dr. Smolin has brought to emergency department patient care in Central PA translates ideally to the efficient, patient focused design of urgent care services as experienced by AllBetterCare Urgent Care patients. He is the father of two teenagers, and in his spare time enjoys bicycling, hiking, skiing and traveling.

Marlys Pike, MD FACEP

Marlys Pike, MD FACEPDr. Marlys Pike was raised near Pittsburgh and moved to central Pennsylvania in 1998 for specialty training in the York Hospital/Penn State University emergency medicine residency program. Since completion of her residency in 2001, she has been practicing emergency medicine full-time. She has previously worked at Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill, Olean General Hospital in Olean, New York and most recently at Memorial Hospital in York.

Since 2006, Dr. Pike has been on the full-time teaching faculty for the emergency medicine residency program at Memorial Hospital in York. She also serves as Quality Director, overseeing quality initiatives for a 43,000 visit/year emergency department. She directs the physician group in developing processes to monitor and assure the highest quality medical care. She sits on the Memorial Hospital Quality Assurance/Utilization Review Committee and attends regular regional Quality Director workshops.

Dr. Pike is a graduate of Slippery Rock State University with a B.S. in Biology. She earned her M.D. degree in 1998 from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Pike is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. Her interests outside of work include hiking, gardening, skiing, biking, cooking, and caring for her 3 horses and 2 dogs.

Dr. Pike is delighted to return to the West Shore community to practice at AllBetterCare Urgent Care Center. Her experience in clinical emergency medicine and quality assurance along with her commitment to medical education are a perfect foundation for the high quality urgent care she provides to the patients at AllBetterCare.

Peter Kang, MD, FACEP, FAAEM

Dr. Kang is an Ohio native who relocated to south central Pennsylvania in 2008 to start his career in Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care. Following completion of undergraduate studies at Kent State University, he received his M.D. degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University. He completed specialty training in Emergency Medicine at Akron General Medical Center in Akron, Ohio and is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Kang is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians as well as a Fellow of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Kang has been a clinical instructor in Emergency Medicine for the residency program at Memorial Hospital in York, PA and continues to work there on a part time basis. He has mentored several residents in their research and presentations at national conferences, and has authored several research articles. He has also peer-reviewed medical education articles for the Journal of Urgent Care Medicine.
Dr. Kang’s high quality medical care, delivered with a personal touch, is most appreciated by AllBetterCare patients, and has earned him regular 90%+ rankings in Press Ganey emergency department patient satisfaction surveys.
He is the owner of the AllBetterCare mascot- a friendly yellow labrador named Ernie. You may find him with Ernie on one of the many hiking trails in south central PA. He may also be found attempting to hone his skills on some of the regions golf courses.

Rory O’Neill, D.O.

The newest addition to our board certified emergency medicine physician staff is Rory O’Neill, D.O. Rory is a Michigan native, earning his B.S.degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and his D.O. degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing, MI. Dr. O’Neill completed his Emergency Medicine residency training at Michigan State University Genesis Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, MI.  Rory is on the clinical teaching faculty in the Emergency Medicine residency program at Memorial Hospital in York where he still provides regular patient care. Rory is board certified in Emergency Medicine. Please welcome Dr. O’Neill to the AllBetterCare family. Just know what to expect if college football comes up in conversation…

Emily Weberding, PA-C

Emily Weberding, PA-C joined AllBetterCare in October of 2011. She is a native of Pittsburgh, PA who relocated to Hummelstown to begin her career in medicine with AllBetterCare. Emily is a graduate of Duquesne University with a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and Master’s of Physician Assistant Studies (’11). While at Duquesne, Emily presented a research case presentation on Tako Tsubo (Apical Ballooning) Syndrome. She is certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants.
Emily is an avid reader and lover of the outdoors and animals. She enjoys the local hiking trails in Cumberland County. While Emily no longer resides in Pittsburgh, she maintains her undying passion and enthusiasm for her hometown Steelers.
Emily enjoys the family atmosphere of AllBetterCare and the personal attention she can spend with her patients. Emily brings a diverse skills set and has training in fracture care, wound management, and pediatrics. She is committed to providing her patients with the highest level of care. We are proud and excited that she is a part of the team at AllBetterCare.

Courtney Hillyer, PA-C

Courtney Hillyer, PA-C moved to the capital area in October 2011 to join the AllBetterCare family. Born and raised in North Carolina, Courtney attended Elon University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2008. During those years she had the opportunity to volunteer in various medical programs in Central America and discovered her love of medicine and serving others. Courtney received her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Marywood University in Scranton, PA including medical specialty rotations throughout the country. She has focused training in the areas of pediatrics and gastroenterology. She is certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants and is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants.

Courtney enjoys outdoor activities, crafts and traveling. She is always up for spontaneous trips worldwide, partaking in new cultures and traditions and loves trying new local foods. It is with this attitude that she has now embraced Pennsylvania, snow and all, and is setting down roots and looking forward to creating memories in the Mechanicsburg area.

At AllBetterCare, Courtney strives to connect with patients and make patient care her top priority. While the fast pace and efficiency of an urgent care practice appeals to her, Courtney enjoys the time she is able to spend with her patients both empowering them and learning from them daily.
